About Patrick Kelly Enterprises

Snow in the Genesee Valley does not always fall so much as travel; with the fields bare, a west wind will lift what is already down and lay it in a hard drift across a driveway that was open an hour ago. Patrick Kelly Enterprises plows against exactly that — drives and lots pushed wide, a second pass when the drift rebuilds, walkways cleared and treated so ice never gets a footing. There is a stretch of the night around Caledonia, plow lights and empty road and nothing else stirring, that belongs entirely to this work. By the time the coffee is on, the drive is open to the road and the mailbox is reachable again. Winter out here is measured in mornings like that.
