Burke Landscaping and Snow Removal

About Burke Landscaping and Snow Removal

Winter arrives early this far north, coming down the Route 11 corridor in long grey sheets that fill a driveway while you sleep. Burke Landscaping and Snow Removal is out in it — plowing, cutting walkways back to the pavement, spreading salt where the ice sets up hard overnight. There is a particular satisfaction in a dooryard opened before the first light touches the border farms: the truck backed out easy, the road end squared off, the day made possible again. Storms up here don't ask permission, so the work runs on their schedule rather than anyone's convenience. By the time Burke wakes, the drives are black and wide.
