Scajaquada Creek runs low and green through Black Rock in August, and the yards above it hold the damp longer than most of the city does. Willow Ridge Landscaping, Inc. keeps them cut and tidy — mowing on schedule, edging the walks, trimming the fence lines, hauling out the spring and fall accumulation that a wet corner collects. When the creek ices at its banks the equipment changes over: plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks and stairways, salting where freeze and thaw make glass out of a step.
