Silbak Plowing & Landscaping

About Silbak Plowing & Landscaping

At four in the morning in Kaisertown the streets are still blue, the Buffalo River is somewhere off in the dark, and the only sound on the block is a blade coming down on a driveway apron. Silbak Plowing & Landscaping works that hour all winter — plowing drives and lots, shoveling walks and front steps, spreading salt where ice sets up overnight — so the first cars out don't have to fight for it. When April finally lets go, the same trucks come back with mowers for the cutting, trimming and edging, and the long cleanup of everything the wind piled up. Grass takes over from salt, week after week, straight on through to the leaves. It is plain work, and it is why the mornings run on time.
