Two calendars live inside Aaron's Landscaping & Snowplowing, LLC, and both of them get worked hard. In winter the Niagara River runs dark and fast past Black Rock while the plow makes its rounds, clearing drives, opening walks and laying salt ahead of the morning commute. In summer the same corners of Riverside soften into green, and the mowing, trimming and edging begin again with the first warm week. Autumn means leaves off the lawns before the ground freezes; spring means the winter's grit raked out and hauled away. It is a full turn of the year, done one property at a time.
