About SNOW REMOVAL LLC

Snow tends to arrive over Bay Ridge in the dark, filling the gaps between parked cars along Third Avenue while the whole block is still asleep. SNOW REMOVAL LLC works those hours — plowing lots and driveways, shoveling stoops and the sidewalk squares a hundred people will cross by eight, and spreading salt on the slate that turns glassy under a thin glaze. There is a plain kind of pride in a brownstone step swept clean down to the stone before the first coffee shop unlocks its door. Wind coming up off the Narrows can undo half an hour of work in ten minutes, so the crew loops back and does it over. By full daylight the street looks like the storm went around it, which is exactly the point.
