Folia Gardens

About Folia Gardens

Brooklyn's backyards are secret rooms, twenty by forty feet of green with a plane tree leaning in from next door. Folia Gardens tends those rooms around Clinton Hill, mowing the little lawns, cutting the beds back to their edges, hauling out the winter's litter when March finally loosens its grip. Morning light arrives late over these rooftops, so the work follows it, one garden at a time. Planting, pruning, mulching and seasonal cleanup: the ordinary care that turns a rear yard into somewhere you carry your coffee. The reward is a gate that opens onto order.
