Fast Snow Removal

About Fast Snow Removal

At four in the morning the wind comes straight up the Narrows and finds every stoop in Bay Ridge. Fast Snow Removal is already out in it, plow blade down on the driveway aprons, shovels working the stairs, salt going down before the first commuter has found their keys. There is a particular satisfaction in a sidewalk cut clean to the bluestone while the streetlights are still on. They clear driveways, walkways, stairs and hydrant corners, then come back through when the city plow reseals a curb cut. By the time the sun climbs over the harbor, the block looks like the storm considered it and moved along.
