Berrington Snow Removal

About Berrington Snow Removal

A nor'easter announces itself over the Great South Bay hours before it lands: the air goes still, the gulls move inland, and the first flakes come sideways down Montauk Highway. Berrington Snow Removal is awake for that — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling steps and walkways, salting the glaze that forms wherever the bay wind scours a surface bare. Storms on this shore rarely stay polite; they turn to sleet near midnight and freeze hard by three in the morning. Three is the hour the truck is out, headlights on empty lanes, opening a way to the road before anyone has to think about it. Waking to a cleared drive and a bare path to the door is the entire point of the night.
