About Bill Henry Tree Service Inc

Brewster keeps its water in reservoirs and its history in stone walls, with oak and hickory ridges standing over the East Branch of the Croton where the trains come up from the city. Bill Henry Tree Service Inc works those Putnam hills — removals of oaks gone brittle in the crown, tree trimming and pruning along stone-walled drives that were never laid out with a bucket truck in mind. Ice storms reach this corner of the county with a weight the ridgetops cannot argue with, and storm damage cleanup gets the split wood out of the lawn and the lane opened before dark. A pruned oak with its shape back looks as though nobody ever touched it, which is exactly right. Brewster, Southeast, Patterson, Carmel, Mahopac, Putnam Lake and Croton Falls are on the run.
