Winter reaches Brasher Falls early and stays late, and the St. Regis River runs black between white banks for months at a stretch. Murrays Property MGMT plows the driveways and dooryards along those north country roads, opening the overnight fall before the workday starts and returning when the wind fills a lane back in. Shoveling frees the walks and steps a blade cannot reach, and salt and sand go down where ice keeps forming. When the ground finally lets go in May, the same properties get mowing, trimming and cleanup work straight through the short, generous summer.
