About Coupe's Cuts Lawn Service

Sylvan Lake freezes hard in a Beekman January, and the cold that comes off it settles into the low roads long after the storm has moved east. Coupe's Cuts Lawn Service is out in those hours plowing driveways and hand-clearing walks, salting the steep aprons that ice over first on these Dutchess hills. When the ground finally softens, the same yards get the spring cleanup — winter sand raked out, beds redefined, the first cut of the year taken off — and then weekly mowing straight through to the leaves. A clean line down a long country driveway is worth as much in July as it is in a snowstorm. Both seasons come down to the same thing: showing up before it becomes a problem.
