About Pasinello Companies

Winter reaches the Rensselaer Plateau harder than it does the valley below — a few hundred feet of climb is all it takes to turn rain into snow. Pasinello Companies plows the hill roads and driveways above Poestenkill through those storms, where a grade has to be cleared and sanded or nobody is getting up it at all. Barberville Falls goes to ice while the creek runs loud underneath, and the cold sits down in the hollows for weeks at a stretch. The work is straightforward and it has to be right: open the drive to the pavement, make room for whatever comes next, treat the walk. Rolling back down toward Troy at first light with the route finished is its own kind of quiet.
