Giordano's Excavation

About Giordano's Excavation

Cayuga Lake keeps Aurora honest. The water stays open long after the fields have gone white, and the wind that crosses it arrives on Route 90 carrying whatever it picked up on the way. Giordano's Excavation works that weather from both ends of the year: plow blades down before the first car leaves a driveway, mowers out once the shore road dries in spring. There is real satisfaction in a farm lane opened clean to the gravel while the lake is still black and the sky is still deciding. The rest of the year it is grass — cut, trimmed, tidied — on properties running from the village out toward King Ferry.
