Payne's Lawn Care

About Payne's Lawn Care

The first cut of the season in Cayuga County lands somewhere in mid-April, once the frost is out and the mud on the north-side lots toward Sennett will finally hold a wheel. Payne's Lawn Care starts there: a cleanup to pull the winter mess out of the corners, then a mow taken high the first time so nothing gets shocked, then trimming and a new edge cut where the lawn meets the walk. After that it is weekly into October, height coming down as the grass settles into itself. There is nothing complicated about it — show up, cut it right, take the clippings with you. That is what makes a lawn look the same in July as it did in May.
