AMG Mowing Co.

About AMG Mowing Co.

Winter mornings in Cayuga County start in the dark, and AMG Mowing Co. starts earlier — headlights swinging across a driveway while the rest of the street is still asleep. By the time the coffee is poured the pavement is down to blacktop and the walk is open end to end. Come May the same trucks trade the plow for the mower, and the long low drumlins south of Auburn go from brown to a green you can smell. There is real satisfaction in the last pass of a lawn, when the stripes line up and the edge along the walk is cut clean as a page. Snow or grass, the work makes the same promise: you should be able to step outside and find your place in order.
