About Country Comforts

Snow falls on Ancramdale over a landscape with very few streetlights in it. The back roads toward Boston Corners and Gallatin go white in a hurry, and a quarter-mile driveway stops being a driveway somewhere around two in the morning. Country Comforts plows through those hours, clearing drives, turnarounds and lots so that a Columbia County morning can start on schedule. There is something steady about headlights swinging into a yard while everyone inside is still asleep. By sunrise the banks are square, the drive is open, and the day gets to begin the way it was supposed to.
