September along Lake LaSalle on the north campus is the finest stretch of the Amherst year — cool nights, warm afternoons, grass growing as if it were making up for August. McGregor's Landscaping works that window: mowing while the turf is thick, trimming and edging so the lines stay honest, mulch topped up where the beds have faded. Then comes the fall cleanup, when a yard can go from buried to bare in an afternoon and the rakes do more than the mowers. Spring brings the same list in reverse order. It is a full circle, and it is satisfying every time it closes.
