Autumn shows up in Alden as wind before anything else — it comes inland off the lake, strips the maples along the Millgrove roads and deposits every last one of them in somebody's yard. Lakefront Landscapes mows straight through the green season and then answers for that wind: cutting, trimming, and raking leaves out of lawns and bed edges until the grass shows through again. Summer here is the steadier half, a weekly round of mowing and close trimming while the fields go tall on either side. Both jobs end the same way, with a lawn that looks intentional instead of merely mown. Erie County ground, tended right up to the last passable week.
