Alden Plowing

About Alden Plowing

You can watch a lake-effect band come for Alden: a gray wall building over the fields to the west, the far tree lines vanishing one by one, then snow so thick that Broadway disappears a block ahead. Out here east of Buffalo, the open farmland lets the wind lift that snow back up and lay it in long, sculpted drifts across driveways that were clear an hour before. Alden Plowing handles snow removal in Alden — plowing drives, pushing back the drifts and opening the way to the road again. When the band moves on and the sky breaks blue over white fields, a freshly plowed drive with its banks pushed wide is a handsome sight. Winter here asks for persistence, and a plowed driveway is persistence you can stand on.
