About The Lawnsmith

A smith works iron by hand, one piece at a time, until it holds the shape it was meant to. The Lawnsmith takes much the same view of turf: a lawn is something worked, not merely visited. Mowing at a considered height, string trimming, edges cut true along drive and walk, fertilizing and weed control kept on schedule, cleanups at the turn of each season. Mid-morning, with the last edge laid in and the concrete blown clean, a yard has a made quality to it, the way anything shaped by hand does. Precision here is not fussiness — it is respect for the ground.
