About Connin Lawn Care, LLC

Late afternoon in West Wendover, the salt flats to the east throw back so much white light that a mown lawn reads almost unnaturally green by comparison. Connin Lawn Care, LLC works that contrast for a living — mowing, edging, trimming, weed control and seasonal cleanups on yards tucked below the Leppy Hills with Pilot Peak standing off to the north. Wind comes across the flats with nothing to slow it, so keeping grass thick, watered and cut at the right height is less about looks than about survival. Then the sun goes down behind the salt, the sky does something extravagant, and a clean edge along a driveway catches the last of it. Making a strip of green hold in a place this bright and this dry is a stubborn, satisfying kind of work.
