About Desert Oasis Landscaping Co.

Step off a Sparks sidewalk and you are into sagebrush and decomposed granite within thirty feet, and that hard edge is what makes a green yard feel like the small marvel it is. Desert Oasis Landscaping Co. tends the contrast with mowing, edging, string trimming, weed control, hedge and shrub trimming, and the cleanup rounds that keep the desert from creeping back over the border. Everything is tuned to a place that sees about seven inches of rain a year and a great deal of sun — cut heights, timing, the discipline of keeping weeds out of gravel and beds alike. The payoff comes at dusk, when the lawn goes deep green under a sky doing its long orange fade behind Peavine. This is high desert, and the green in it is kept by hand, on purpose.
