About The Yard Guys, LLC

Wind is practically a fourth season in Reno — it slides down off Peavine in the late afternoon and goes through anything that isn't tied down. The Yard Guys, LLC plan the day around it: cut and trim while the air is still holding its breath, then get the clippings blown up before the gusts get a vote. Summer here runs long and bright at this altitude, and a lawn stays green through it on a schedule — mowing at a height that shades its own roots, aeration to open ground the sun has packed hard, fertilization and overseeding where the turf has thinned. From Spanish Springs down through Sparks and back across the river, they leave behind tight trim lines at the mailbox post, the fence run and the sidewalk seam. When the light finally goes orange over the ridge, the lawn stands even and the driveway looks untouched, which is the whole idea.
