About Smartscapes Landscaping

September shortens fast on the north side of the Truckee Meadows: the evenings cool early over Sun Valley, and the lawns finally get relief from a summer that never really rained. Smartscapes Landscaping spends that stretch setting yards up properly, checking sprinkler heads and coverage so water lands on grass instead of sidewalk, keeping mowing and edging on schedule, and feeding for root growth while the soil still holds its warmth. Aeration goes in wherever the ground has hardened, and weed control keeps the fall germinators out of the thin spots. Deep, less frequent watering makes a tougher lawn than daily sprinkling ever will, and that is worth saying out loud on the driveway. By the time the first hard frost comes down the valley, the yard is ready for it.
