About Snowden Landscape Inc

In Pahrump the morning is the only cool thing for miles, so Snowden Landscape Inc has the mower turning while the Spring Mountains still hold a snowline off to the east. Lawn care on this valley floor is a matter of timing and restraint: mowing on a rhythm the heat will allow, edging and trimming a clean line where turf meets gravel, feeding and treating for weeds so the green is worth the water it drinks. By midday the light goes white and flat across the alfalfa fields and the creosote, and the yard behind the crew is still striped, still bordered, the clippings gone with the truck. There is a plain pride in that — a lawn kept deliberate in a place that does not hand it over. When evening finally lets the temperature down, it becomes the kind of yard someone walks out onto barefoot just to look at it.
