The Paradise Lawn

About The Paradise Lawn

Paradise is a real place on the map here — the township that holds Sunset Park's cottonwoods, the long airport approach, and block after block of ranch houses standing under fan palms. The Paradise Lawn works those streets in the late afternoon, once the shadows finally reach across the driveways and the air loosens its grip on the day. Mowing, string trimming and edging come first; then fertilization and weed control, the slower half that decides how a yard looks a month from now. Shrubs are shaped back into their outline, beds are cleared, and what is cut goes with the crew. Ordinary work carried to a fine finish, and a well-kept lawn in Paradise is its own quiet kind of shade.
