Pacific Landscape

About Pacific Landscape

Late summer brings the monsoon to Las Vegas: thunderheads stacking over the valley in the afternoon, a sudden hard rain, and then the smell of wet creosote rolling through every neighborhood. When the storm passes there are leaves, twigs and washed-out gravel to sort out, and Pacific Landscape brings each yard back to order with cleanup, mowing and trimming. The name points toward an ocean far to the west, but the work belongs wholly to the desert, shaped by heat, wind and the occasional deluge. A lawn trimmed and a walkway cleared after a storm look almost new in the rinsed air, every border sharpened by the clean light. Kept up through the season, a Las Vegas yard can shrug off a summer storm as gracefully as the desert itself.
