Lu's Lawn Care

About Lu's Lawn Care

At midday in Paradise the only honest shade belongs to a mesquite, and the work happens in and out of it. Lu's Lawn Care measures a job by the edge — that clean line where turf stops and the sidewalk begins, cut so straight it looks drawn. Mowing, edging, trimming, blowing the walks clear and pulling the weeds that try the seams of the concrete: that is the trade, done properly. This heat asks for consistency rather than heroics, and a lawn kept on a steady rhythm holds its color all the way through the long summer. Late in the afternoon the light goes long and low across the cut, and every pass shows.
