About High Sierra Gardens, Inc.

Spring arrives on this side of the Sierra with a delay everyone learns to plan around — the last drifts hold along the Mount Rose Highway shoulders long after the valley below has gone green. High Sierra Gardens, Inc. opens its lawn care season the week those shoulders finally give up their snow, walking yards that have been pressed flat for months and waking them back up. Grass at this elevation grows fast once it starts, so the mowing schedule tightens, and the edges get cut sharp against walkway and stone. Every visit ends with the beds and paths swept clean. It is a compressed, hurrying kind of summer, and there is pride in meeting it on time.
