About VanDorne Landscape and Design

A yard in Enterprise is mostly a matter of lines: turf against decomposed granite, granite against concrete, and the long horizontal of the Red Rock escarpment out past the end of the street. VanDorne Landscape and Design works to those lines — mowing and edging so the green holds the shape it was meant to hold, trimming around beds and trunks, clearing the yellow drifts the palo verdes let go every spring. Fertilizing and weed control keep the turf dense enough to be a surface rather than a scatter of blades. The pleasure is all in the crispness: a border you could run a finger along, and a lawn that stops exactly where somebody drew it to stop.
