Ely Material Yard

About Ely Material Yard

Summer arrives late in Ely and leaves early; at better than six thousand feet in Steptoe Valley, every growing week is precious. Ely Material Yard brings a material yard's ground-first outlook to lawn care in this old copper town, where what lies beneath the grass matters as much as the grass itself. Frost works the soil here all winter, so whatever goes down in spring has to be laid with intention. On a long June evening the whistle of the Nevada Northern Railway drifts across town while the last sun warms the face of the Schell Creek Range, and a well-kept yard glows in that light. In Ely, good grass is earned from the dirt up, and that is exactly where this work begins.
