About Ruby Rose Landscape & Tree Service

There is a half hour at sundown when the Ruby Mountains turn the exact color the name promises, and the whole east side of Elko goes pink for as long as it lasts. Ruby Rose Landscape & Tree Service is usually loading up around then, with another day of mowing, edging and trimming behind it. The season's rhythm is steady and unspectacular: weekly cuts, sharp lines at the walks, fertilizer and weed treatment timed to a brief high-country summer. September brings the aerating and overseeding, plugs pulled and seed worked in while the ground still holds its warmth, so that April does not have to start from nothing. Then the cleanups, the last of the leaves, and a lawn left level and combed beneath the first white on the range.
