About Ramon Salaz Lawn Services

On the west edge of Elko the lawns give out and the alfalfa begins, and on a summer morning the smell of cut hay and cut grass rides down the same breeze. Ramon Salaz Lawn Services works that hour, mowing, string trimming and edging yards around Elko and Carlin before the sun climbs and the valley starts to bake. At five thousand feet the water leaves fast and the season runs short, so the feeding, the weed treatment and the mowing height are all set to carry turf thick through a long bright July. Clippings get swept off the walk and the beds get trimmed back to a clean line. By fall the same yards are raked and cut low, put to bed ahead of the first hard freeze.
