Old West Lawn and Landscape

About Old West Lawn and Landscape

Late afternoon, and the silver dome of the Capitol catches the last of the sun while the old V&T grade south of town holds its heat into the evening. Old West Lawn and Landscape works these streets and the properties strung along that corridor, mowing, edging and trimming, and shaping landscape beds that have to survive Carson City sun and Carson City wind. The pleasure is in a yard that reads finished from the sidewalk: level turf, defined borders, nothing straggling. This is a town of sandstone and cottonwood and long views to the Pine Nuts, and a well-kept lot belongs to that view. The mowers shut off, the dust settles, and the place looks like itself again.
