About Davenport Landscape

The Ranchos was laid out in wide lots, which means the lawns here have room to actually be lawns — long open runs of green with the Sierra standing up behind them. Davenport Landscape spends its Saturdays on exactly that: mowing, edging along walks and driveways, trimming the fence lines and posts, hauling off clippings and yard debris. On a big lot the mower lines are the signature, and holding them straight across a hundred feet of turf takes more care than it looks like from a passing car. There is a moment near the end of a cut when the whole yard finally reads as one piece, and that moment is the job. Come fall the same lots get their leaves cleared before the wind can redistribute them down the street.
