About Baca Service Company

By late afternoon the bathhouse blocks downtown go the color of an apricot, and the last mow of the day happens in that light. Baca Service Company keeps lawns in Truth or Consequences and the small places ringing it, mowing on a set rhythm, running the fence lines with a trimmer, edging where turf tries to creep onto concrete. Desert grass grows in bursts and then sulks, and knowing which week is which is most of the job. Hedges get shaped, leaves and litter get gathered, the front walk gets swept before the truck pulls away. A yard tended on schedule reads calm even in the middle of August.
