Sun of Socorro

About Sun of Socorro

Light is the whole story in this town. It comes over the eastern hills flat and clean, stands white overhead by noon, then leans back down the street in the evening and turns every blade of grass gold at the tip. Sun of Socorro works the two soft ends of that day — mowing while the ground is cool, edging the walks, trimming close where the mower cannot go. Clippings are cleared, borders are cut to a line, and the lawn is left even from fence to fence. Come back at dusk and the yard looks like the light is doing it a favor.
