About Creative Landscaping

In July the monsoon builds over the Magdalenas by two in the afternoon, and by four the rain has come down hard and short and gone again, and every lawn in Socorro answers it within a week. That growth spurt is the busy season — the grass comes on fast and thick and needs a steady hand to keep it even. Creative Landscaping works the mowing, the edging and the trimming on a rhythm that keeps pace with the storms, so a yard never gets ahead of itself. Beds and gravel margins get cleared of the weeds the rain brings up, and the cut lines stay straight across the whole run of the lawn. When the clouds break apart at sunset and the wet caliche starts steaming, a freshly cut yard is about the best-smelling thing in the valley.
