About Fowler Brothers Inc

Silver City sits high enough that the mornings stay cool into June, with the Gila country rising green-black to the north and the Big Ditch running below Main Street where the old road used to be. Fowler Brothers Inc keeps lawns on that mountain schedule — mowing through the long mild stretch, edging the walks, cutting back shrubs, clearing leaves once the cottonwoods turn. The monsoon puts on a growth spurt in August that will get away from a yard in a fortnight if nobody is watching. Grass answers to attention here as much as it answers to water. There is a plain pleasure in the last pass of the mower, when the rows line up and the border stands sharp against the walk.
