Every September the city climbs to Fort Marcy to watch Old Man Gloom go up in flame, and the next morning Santa Fe wakes lighter than it went to bed. Zozobra Artificial Grass keeps to the everyday version of that reset: lawns mowed level, edges cut back to a true line, a season's worth of litter carried off so the yard begins again. The schedule runs the length of the warm months and closes with a full autumn clearing before the first hard freeze locks the ground. Neighborhoods from Fort Marcy and the near north side out to the edges of town are on the route, along with Eldorado and Glorieta. Nothing dramatic about it — just a place kept, week after week.
