About San Isidro Permaculture, Inc.

Water has always decided things in Santa Fe, and the old acequia lines still run under the lanes of Agua Fria like a memory with a pulse. San Isidro Permaculture, Inc. keeps its mornings early, mowing while the air is still cool enough to carry the smell of wet dirt and juniper. Grass this high up asks for patience — a taller cut, a slower pass, an edge that follows the curve of an adobe wall instead of fighting it. By the time the sun clears the Sangre de Cristos the trimming is done, the clippings are hauled off, and a yard that was shaggy at dawn looks like somebody loves it. That is the whole reward: a small green place, honestly kept, in a country that hands out no green for free.
