About Ristras Herrera & Landscaping

Sunrise on the hill above the Plaza arrives over the Sangre de Cristos all at once, and in September it lands on ristras hung to dry along the portales, the red going darker by the week. Ristras Herrera & Landscaping works the steep old streets under that hill — mowing small terraced lawns, trimming along stone walls and stairways, keeping turf back off the steps, clearing tight beds of the season's growth. Yards on a slope are all handwork; there is no long straight pass to be made, so every foot of it gets decided one at a time. Done right, a hillside yard looks effortless, and nothing about it was. The cathedral bells go off downtown, the morning gets loud, and the place stands there finished.
