About Native Bloom Landscaping

Mid-morning in May, penstemon stands up along Santa Fe garden walks in scarlet spikes, and the bees work each bell in turn. Native Bloom Landscaping tends lawns in this city, where a yard is often a weave of turf, gravel and the tough plants that belong to this dry country. Grass is cut and edged with those neighbors in mind, keeping a clear seam between buffalo grass and Apache plume so each keeps its own shape. From the south side of town the Ortiz Mountains lie low and blue along the horizon, and a well-kept yard seems to face them on purpose. The result feels less like taming the land than looking after a piece of it.
