Santa Clara

About Santa Clara

Santa Clara sits among the rolling foothills of Grant County, beside the old Fort Bayard grounds, with the Pinos Altos range rising to the north toward the Gila country. As September closes, after the summer rains have done their work, the grasses on the hills have gone tawny and seeded, and the mornings arrive cool and still. This lawn care business carries the village's own name and keeps its yards in step with the place, mowed and trimmed through the green stretch, cleaned up and readied as the season turns. In a village where neighbors notice a tidy yard, there is pride in a lawn that looks cared for against the gold of the foothills. Here, keeping a yard well is one more way of belonging to home.
