About Williams Booth Haynie

In winter the sandhill cranes drop into Bitter Lake north of town and Roswell's lawns go the color of straw and stay that way until spring. Williams Booth Haynie works the dormant months as carefully as the growing ones — cleanups, leaves and debris carried off, beds cut back, shrubs and small trees trimmed while their structure is easy to read, the final mow set low so the turf comes back even. Then the days lengthen and the schedule starts over: weekly mowing, edging, trimming, weed control through the long heat. A yard in this valley is a year-round arrangement with wind, sun and short water. They keep their end of it, week after week, so the place looks tended in every month on the calendar.
