About FORGET ABOUT IT!! LAND, LAWN and GARDEN CARE
Spring on the West Mesa arrives sideways. Wind works the fence lines all night and leaves Rio Rancho Estates yards asking for hands by morning: tumbleweed stacked against block wall, grit blown into the beds, grass just waking a mile above the sea. That is a good day to be working — mow what is green, cut the weeds out of the gravel and the planting beds, shape the chamisa and juniper rather than shear them, and carry every bit of the mess off the property. The strip along the driveway gets run true enough to read from the street. By dusk, when the dust settles and the light goes long, the place looks tended on purpose, by somebody who wanted it that way.
