About Alvaradoscapes and designs

At first light the Sandias stand as a dark wall northeast of Pajarito Mesa, and the sun climbs over their crest to spill across land that looks freshly unrolled. Alvaradoscapes and designs works on that wide sheet of sand and sky, drawing yards that belong to it. A landscape that fits out here borrows the horizon instead of fencing it off, and leaves bare earth room to rest between the plantings. Line by line, an empty lot takes shape: paths that invite a walk, nooks that catch the sunrise, borders that hold their form. When the design is finished, it looks as though the mesa had been sketching it all along.
