The first snow of the year usually shows up along the Manzano crest while the valley floor is still green, a white line east of Los Lunas above grass that has not quit yet. So-cal Specialties works right through that overlap, mowing until the season truly closes and clearing what November knocks down. Leaves, dead stalks and blown litter come off the turf, and the edges are recut so the lawn keeps its shape into the cold months.
