MELS LAWN SERVICE

About MELS LAWN SERVICE

In September the roasters go up on the corner lots and the whole of Las Cruces smells like green chile turning in a steel drum. The heat has broken by then, the grass has one good push left in it, and the mowing goes easy. MELS LAWN SERVICE runs its route through that stretch of the year — cutting, edging, trimming, blowing the walks clear — and then again through the mild fall that follows. There is pride in the small stuff: no scalped corner, no ragged fence line, nothing left on the drive. A lawn handed back that way needs no explaining.
